Meet the founder

Brave Steps Integrative Wellness provides an experienced mental health professional dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. Dayle believes that true healing involves the integration of mind, body, and spirit.  Facilitated methods of waking up the body's natural healing processes by working through six clinical domains is the foundation of the Brave Steps method which allows for the body's own wisdom to surface and resolve easily, often leading to dramatic and profound shifts in well-being quite rapidly.

 

Dayle, a licensed psychiatric nurse with years of experience in the field of mental health, and credentialed in selective somatic trauma therapies, specializes in treating a wide range of human experiences, including chronic stress, depression, addictions, anxiety, sexual trauma, and PTSD/c-PTSD. She is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals and live their best lives through embodied trauma healing and body-centered psychotherapy.

The method developed by Dayle incorporates a powerful blended approach that allows you to access the true Self hidden beneath layers of childhood traumas, imprints, limiting beliefs, trans-generational traumas and other adaptations that continue to inform the way you show up in the world today.

 

The work is simple, yet profoundly deep and effective, drawing on theories and principles from EBT (Evidence Based Treatments) and an Inner Directed approach.

This transformative healing program embraces the comprehensive approach of the six essential domains of healing, weaving them into a holistic journey of self-discovery and growth. The path of healing is not linear, with each domain visited at anytime during the journey.

 

At its core, Brave Steps acknowledges the profound impact of the Existential domain, empowering individuals to explore the depths of their purpose and meaning in life. It fosters a profound sense of Self-Compassion, allowing participants to embrace their vulnerabilities and catalyze profound self-acceptance.

Body Awareness, another integral domain, is skillfully integrated, enabling individuals to connect with the wisdom of their bodies through somatic movement and therapy, thus unlocking a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection. This paves the way for the exploration of Emotional States, offering a safe space to navigate and process complex feelings, transforming them into sources of strength and resilience.

Connectiveness is a vital thread woven throughout Brave Steps, where we nurture and foster the importance of human Connection. The Process

The  root of the Brave Steps program are bottom-up approaches curated from somatic and neuroscience foundations. All the modalities are backed by science, and include a blend of techniques that are geared toward resetting the essential parts of the brain and nervous system that are key players in a stress response.

When a body has been under a tremendous amount of stress for long periods of time, it becomes essential to use the tenets of neuroplasticity to help 'rewire' or create new neural pathways to forever change the way our brain responds to past event memories.

The goal is to eliminate the 'charge' behind the memory, and allow the body to calibrate to a place of neutrality; the events of the past to simply become a neutral experience, no longer holding strong emotional attachment.
